I'll start of with a quick synopsis of what I'm about.

Before dedicating all my time to my companies, I was involved with many aspects of the entertainment industry. I've done everything from costume designing for movies to production work to starring in national commercials. I've been fortunate enough to have played with stars for much of my adult life which plays a big part in my aesthetics.

This marks the 14th year I've been customizing dolls, my 11th year selling on eBay and the 5th year of Empire! In a field that sees a lot of turn around, I'm very happy to have a had such a long career already and I'm excited to see how far I can take it.

In September 2005 I was asked by the tv show Charmed to produce a set of dolls to be used in an episode for their final season. It was a natural progression as I had worked on the show on and off since season 2 as either background, doubling one of the actresses or as a full time stand-in. They knew of my work on dolls and knew I was up to the task of taking 6 action figures and customizing them to look like specific actors. It was a little hectic as I had a one week turnaround but with the costume department taking care of the costumes, I knew I could get it done! In the end, the producers were beyond happy with the dolls and the actors even asked about getting ones for themselves! The episode aired in January of 2006 and is called "Payback's a Witch".

November will mark the two year anniversary of hooking up with Fashion Boulevard as the manufacturer of my Empire fashion line and I couldn't be happier with how things are going. I was thrilled when Doris asked me to design the facial screenings for her Claire and Robert dolls, as well as creating the look for the Sam hostess doll for FDQ's Project Dollway and designing fashions for her too. She was able to get a very talented artist to paint the production dolls and retain the integrity of the prototype and they turned out great!

Outside of the doll arena, I was invited to be a seamstress on the international sportswear line Lacoste's 2008 campaign in April of '07 and to come back and head the department later that year for the Fall campaign!

In June '08 I helped host the Red Carpet Glamour Event with Fashion Boulevard and met many wonderful collectors as well as some old friends. I did a presentation as well as Doug James, Paul Pham, and Cindy Friesen. Noel Cruz, Jenny Sutherland and I held a repainting clinic which was a lot of fun. A lot of money was collected for a charitable cause and we all came away with fun memories, some exciting new projects and tons of goodies ;) Doris went above and beyond!

Currently I'm prepping for the launch of my brand new Fayrie Wear! I also have the Charmed Ones to finish up, a few other reconizable characters to tackle, one more line before the year is done and so much more I can't talk about LOL but I can't wait to share!

Just to let you know, I try to respond to questions as timely as I can but I process anywhere from 300 to 500 emails a week so I really appreciate your patience :)

Thanks so much for visiting,

Sam
